QA Test Engineering Team Manager

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid technical background in Quality Assurance Engineering, and a commitment to delivering excellent results. In this role, you will lead a team of QA Engineers, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our products/services.

This role is a hybrid role in Limerick with a minimum of 2 days onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and development.
  • Active involvement in recruitment, performance appraisals, 1-2-1's and areas of performance management.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and other stakeholders to define quality standards, requirements, and testing strategies.
  • Plan, prioritise, and delegate testing tasks, ensuring timely and efficient results-driven execution of QA activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing, new functionality testing and performance testing to identify and address defects and issues.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms to monitor quality of development and testing performance.
  • Analyse test results, identify trends, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement and optimisation of QA processes.
  • Act as a liaison between QA, Development, and Client Services teams, addressing challenges and ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Desirable Skills
The primary qualification is the demonstrated ability to deliver the above responsibility as proven by results from work of similar scope and complexity, however you may also have the following qualifications and required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, ideally within a Hybrid working environment with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proven customer-focussed experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality, products/services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Experience or familiarity with automation testing tools such as Cypress or Robot Framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Senior Technical Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Technical Account Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for driving business development and growth by deeply understanding our clients' businesses, their goals and vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and technology development with a track record of identifying new opportunities for our clients, and develop and lead projects that align their strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and insights to clients, helping them leverage technology to achieve their goals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of clients' needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Business Development & Strategic Planning:

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' business goals, challenges, and industry landscape.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Proactively propose solutions and projects that align with clients' strategic objectives by collaborating with clients to develop strategic account plans that outline their business goals and how our IT services can support them.

Project Management:

  • Lead project planning and execution for client initiatives.

  • Manage project change. 

Communication and Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to clients on project progress and performance.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business and Technology, or a related field such as computer science. 
  • Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, or a similar role.
  • Strong background in enterprise scale software development, ideally within agile development. 
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
